An important part of our business is importation of fine wines from the south of France.  We specialize exclusively in the wines of the south of France

Winesights is a registered agent in Ontario and it is our mission to represent the finest small producers we can find and introduce the wines of these winemakers to Ontario consumers. 

The vineyards we represent are unique: 

• They are small and are operated by craftspeople (many are women).
  
  
• The winemakers are prepared to depart from tradition to produce the best wines they can.
  
  
• Most importantly, if it weren’t for Winesights, the only way you could get their wines would be to do what we have done – travel to France and find them!
  

Our business concentrates on quality and we serve three markets:

• Specialty orders for fine restaurants and private clubs where we are confident the quality and value of our wines will be an important element in the dining experience and where these wines will be best presented.
  
  
• Private orders for individuals who appreciate the south of France and who can’t get enough wines from this region through current channels.
  
  
• The LCBO Vintages program.
  

We carefully select the vineyards we represent and look for the following when we make our selection decisions:

• A philosophy for winemaking that is stated and consistently followed, regardless of fads, ratings and trends.

• Attention to detail in the vineyard and the cave – our growers sacrifice yield for quality and character and are personally involved in all aspects of vineyard and cave operation.
  
  
• A respect for local winemaking tradition but a willingness to sacrifice those traditions where they will impede making the finest wines possible.
  
  
• Wines of outstanding character and value that we are confident will attract a loyal following in Ontario.

• People we believe we can work with in a true partnership.

We travel regularly to the south of France and will add to our roster of wines as we discover winemakers whose philosophies, techniques and wines are consistent with our selection criteria.
