There are literally millions of sources of information on wine available on the web alone.  This set of links concentrates on France and the wines of the Rhône Valley.  We also list some sites that are of broader interest to the traveler to France as well as selected book titles of interest to the wine enthusiast. 

I should point out that you don't need to study to join us on a tour.  The references in this section of our site are for the interest of those of you who wish to learn more, before you come to France with us.  We assure you, you will learn everything you want to know while you are traveling with us. 

Also, prior knowledge of France, wine, grape varieties, terroir, etc. is not a pre-requisite for joining a Winesights tour or tasting group.  These are the knowledge areas you will understand better when you return from one of our tours or a tasting.  The purpose of this knowledge?  To better appreciate wine and to better buy wines with assurance they are the wines for you.
